I got an email from Ebay a few days ago stating once again that they are raising their fees again. It's already hard for the average seller to sell anything let alone having to pay higher and higher fees rather your items sells or not. Add to that the powersellers are using the very expensive "Feature Plus" feature that keeps pushing the average seller's items farther and farther to the back pages, thus not giving them a chance to even be seen.
There are lots of other auction sites out there, but even with all the trouble the average seller would have being found on Ebay, you still have a better chance of selling something there then the other auction sites. To sell your items on the other auction sites would entail a lot of work advertising and getting the word out about where your items are. If you’re going to do that you might as well build your own web site and put all of your efforts on advertising it. At least there there’s no competition and no rising fees.
