Although having Google Adsense or some other ad-hosting program allows you to have advertisers on your blog, you can surely make more money by selling ad space on your blog yourself.
You can choose how much you want to sell a certain area on your blog for. You might want to sell the space at the top of your blog for $50 a month or your sidebar for, say $25, it’s your choice.
You can also choose how you want to charge for your space. You can charge a monthly fee, a weekly fee or even a one-time fee for a designated amount of time or impressions. The more popular your blog is the more money you can charge for your ad-space. PR ranking can also affect how much you can charge for your space.
Some ways you might try to get advertisers for your blog is;
1. Ask for them on your blog.
2. Do a search for people or companies looking for cheap advertising.
3. Approach a company you think might be interested in advertising on your blog.
Give selling ad space on your blog a try. You might be surprised at what happens.
